Loma Smith
Learn from Loma Smith a fine art photographer from West Linn who creates wall portraiture for families and graduating seniors.

Loma Smith has been photographing families and children for over 18 years.  She's designed a working studio, which enables her to be a stay-at-home mom with her son JP, new husband John Weber, and college step-daughter Kyra.  Her daughter Sarah has just graduated from Seattle Pacific and is pursuing a career in nutrition. Loma's passion for life and people comes out in her artistic photographs, which emphasize emotion, natural light, and creative composition. Loma's love for photography expanded while studying composition and lighting under Ansel Adams' colleague Milton Halberstadt, professor emeritus at the University of Oregon. She studied photography and design at the Cornish Institute of Allied Arts in Seattle, Washington and is currently in the process of qualifying for the honored title of Master Photographer. Her image "Out of the Primordial Stew," was recently given the court of honor award from the Professional Photographers of Oregon.

Loma has exhibited in galleries in Portland and central Oregon and has several images in America's prestigious Loan Collection.  Her photographs have been featured in numerous publications through the years, including most recently I Am Not a Prophet, Therefore I Know by Mark C.Hughes. She is a central Oregon native and has a business in Bend as well as her studio in West Linn. Loma is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America where she has received fourteen national print merits.
